Job Description
Network Printer Configuration & Management
• Deploy, configure, and maintain network printers and multi-function devices (MFDs) across local area networks (LANs)
• Manage network print queues and configure print servers to ensure seamless user access and optimal print traffic routing
• Configure dynamic and static IP addressing for print devices, utilizing DHCP reservations to maintain consistent network visibility
• Troubleshoot printer connectivity issues, resolving network address conflicts, offline statuses, and data transmission errors
• Implement secure printing protocols and update printer firmware regularly to protect sensitive network endpoints
Ticket Resolution & Team Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with queue managers and technician teams to triage, assign, and resolve hardware and network printer tickets efficiently
• Drive timely ticket resolution in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and internal performance benchmarks
• Provide clear technical escalations and documentation to ensure seamless handoffs between helpdesk staff and specialized engineering groups
• Participate in regular queue reviews and team syncs to identify systemic hardware or network issues and implement permanent fixes
Configuration & Hardware Management
• Update, manage and maintain comprehensive hardware and software configurations across all deployment environments to ensure system consistency
• Configure, test, and deploy physical hardware devices according to strict technical specifications and operational standards
• Establish and enforce configuration management baselines, tracking all modifications through formal change control processes
Firmware & Security Updates
• Schedule, coordinate, and execute firmware updates across distributed hardware networks, minimizing downtime and operational impact
• Oversee the lifecycle of digital certificates, including timely renewals, installations, and key management to maintain uninterrupted security
• Monitor system vulnerabilities and proactively deploy critical patches, hotfixes, and firmware upgrades to mitigate security risks
Attention to Detail & Quality Assurance
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail by maintaining flawless configuration logs, asset inventories, and deployment documentation
• Perform rigorous validation testing post-deployment to verify that hardware configurations and firmware updates meet quality benchmarks
• Audit existing systems regularly to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve configuration drift or unauthorized changes
