LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Duties

• Plans and develops comprehensive logistics support instructions to direct transportation, supply, and movement policies for directorate operations.
• Utilizes an automated logistics management database to manage inventory, requisitions, and accountability for aviation equipment and supplies.
• Provides technical logistics oversight to integrate advanced technology and engineering developments onto Army Special Operations Forces (SOF) rotorcraft.
• Coordinates with senior military and civilian stakeholders to advise on logistical matters and resolve complex program support issues.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• One year probationary period may be required.
• Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
• This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Tentatively selected applicants will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug testing.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Practitioner certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
• Must file a confidential Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience is defined as:

(1) Executing integrated logistics support plans for equipment, aviation systems, or weapon systems. (2) Using an automated database system to perform supply support functions such as inventory management, requisitioning, or property accountability. (3) Coordinating with internal or external partners to resolve logistical or supply chain issues.

Education can not be substituted for experience.
