Overview
We are seeking a GNC Engineer to support the development of advanced guidance, navigation, and control solutions for aerospace and missile systems. This role will focus on simulation development, flight algorithm design, state estimation, seeker modeling, and performance analysis within a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and validate GNC algorithms and flight software.
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity 6-DOF simulations for system analysis and verification.
- Apply control theory, state estimation, and mathematical modeling techniques to guidance and navigation challenges.
- Support seeker modeling, target tracking, and trajectory analysis activities.
- Integrate software and hardware components and support system-level testing.
- Perform performance assessments, trade studies, and simulation campaigns.
- Optimize software for robustness, maintainability, and mission performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful program execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of professional experience, or a Master's degree with no professional experience required.
- Experience with Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) concepts, algorithms, or analysis.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, and Linux environments.
- Experience supporting the development, modeling, simulation, testing, integration, or analysis of aerospace, missile, spacecraft, or autonomous systems.
- Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain required clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 6-DOF simulations and aerodynamic modeling.
- Knowledge of State Estimation, Kalman Filters, Extended Kalman Filters (EKF), LQR, and PID control.
- Familiarity with guidance system development and control theory.
- Experience with target tracking and seeker systems.
- Knowledge of Monte Carlo analysis and performance evaluation techniques.
- Experience with Jira and Agile development methodologies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
