JOB DESCRIPTION
The Systems Administrator will securely configure and maintain servers, applications, databases, and supporting infrastructure. They will apply DISA STIGs and other approved security baselines, manage role-based access controls and authentication requirements, and support applications through the authorization and hardening process. This individual will develop and maintain solutions using ServiceNow, ArcGIS, SharePoint, SQL, JavaScript, Python, C#, and .NET. They will also deploy software updates and patches, monitor system security, maintain audit logging, and support backup, recovery, and high-availability requirements. The administrator will collaborate with FDM stakeholders to improve data capture, integration, accessibility, and reporting across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, administer, and maintain server-based software and applications.
Harden servers and applications in accordance with DISA STIGs, NNL hardening standards, and other approved security baselines.
Support the authorization and continued operation of server-based applications in a secure government environment.
Develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and workflows.
Configure and manage role-based access controls, single sign-on, authentication, authorization, and multi-factor authentication.
Establish and maintain security monitoring, incident detection and response processes, and audit logging.
Develop and manage FDM SharePoint sites and end-user interfaces.
Create and maintain applications and interfaces using C#, .NET, Visual Studio Code, JavaScript, and Python.
Support ArcGIS applications and perform JavaScript and Python programming within the ArcGIS environment.
Build and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases containing facility data.
Develop streamlined processes for capturing, managing, reviewing, and accessing FDM data.
Integrate facility information into a centralized and cohesive source-of-truth repository.
Support COTS software deployments, updates, maintenance, and patching.
Monitor software versions and ensure systems remain current and securely configured.
Implement load balancing, high availability, backup and restoration, and disaster recovery capabilities for mission-critical applications.
Support hardware and software asset visibility for FDM-related systems.
Conduct market research and advise the team on software purchases, licensing, and distribution.
Develop Rough Order of Magnitude cost estimates for software, server, and infrastructure requirements.
Analyze the need for additional servers supporting facility data and reality-capture scans.
Develop technical specifications and requirements for the acquisition, installation, configuration, and management of new servers.
Support the development of FDM use cases, databases, site maps, and user interfaces.
Assist program leadership with schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables for FDM IT initiatives.
They will be supporting a hybrid schedule 2-3 days onsite a week for training, then once a month.
$30/hr to $40/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
