Security Operations Center Manager - Top Secret Clearance

Dunhill Government Solutions is hiring a Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager to lead both the strategic direction and the daily operational effectiveness of a federal agency's cybersecurity defenses. You'll oversee a team of security analysts and engineers responsible for continuous monitoring, detection, analysis and response to cyber threats and incidents, protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems that process sensitive and classified data. This is a full-time, onsite role in Ashburn, VA supporting a newly awarded federal program.

Responsibilities:

• Provide operational oversight for all SOC activities, ensuring 24/7 readiness of monitoring, detection and response
• Serve as the senior escalation point for the incident response lifecycle, from initial detection through resolution and post-incident review
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of security analysts and engineers
• Develop and mature SOC strategies, processes and technologies to strengthen the security posture over time
• Prepare and deliver executive-level reports on SOC performance, metrics and emerging threat trends
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, compliance and leadership to align security initiatives with mission objectives
• Ensure strict adherence to government and agency-specific policies, procedures and compliance requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field
• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 5 years in a SOC leadership role
• CISSP required (CISM, GCIH or other GIAC certifications also considered)
• Active Top Secret clearance, SCI-eligible
• In-depth knowledge of SIEM and EDR platforms
• Strong grounding in incident response methodologies
• Thorough understanding of network architectures and security controls
• U.S. citizenship

Details: Full-time, onsite in Ashburn, VA.

Compensation: $150,000-$200,000 per year.
