Job Description
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience in electro-optics, optical engineering, or a closely related field.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field. Equivalent non-U.S. qualifications may also be considered.
Academic or professional experience in Electro-Optics / Optical Engineering.
Hands-on experience with electro-optical systems and components, including developing specifications, tolerances, simulations, assembly, integration, and testing.
Experience working with fiber-optic (F/O) sensors and systems, lasers, fiber optics, optical sensors, and telecommunications/optical communication products.
Experience with laser and electro-optical systems, including requirements development, system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and technical analysis.
Strong understanding of optical communication systems and electro-optical technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working effectively in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
Hands-on experience with electro-optical design and analysis using Zemax/OpticStudio, CODE V, or equivalent optical design software.
Experience performing EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infrared) system analysis, modeling, and performance evaluation.
Experience with optical system simulation, ray tracing, tolerance analysis, and system optimization.
Strong technical communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
