Job Description
Day-to-Day:
An employer in the Jacksonville area is looking for a Cost engineer with fire protection experience to join their team! This individual will be joining a team to provide advisory and assistance services that support the engineering and construction of onsite military infrastructure. Their daily tasks will inlclude:
• Provide independent and professional cost engineering support for planning, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering/architectural disciplines to ensure coordination and integration with project requirements
• Participate in planning, budgeting, designing, and construction of new construction, renovation, and improvement projects
• Utilize knowledge of engineering and architecture to evaluate cost estimates and contract change orders
• Support major and complex projects (including MILCON) for government facilities such as offices, hospitals, manufacturing plants, and waterfront structures.
• Ensure all designs comply with DoD and Navy specifications, as well as relevant codes and regulations at all levels.
