Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support a Navy training systems program focused on Joint After Action Review (JAAR) and Data Collection and Display (DCD) applications. This individual will join an Agile software development team responsible for designing, developing, testing, troubleshooting, and deploying mission-critical software that supports Navy training and operational readiness. This is a remote position with occasional travel to support software installation, testing, and customer engagement activities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications supporting JAAR and DCD systems.
- Collaborate with customers and internal Agile development teams on sprint planning, execution, and reviews.
- Gather and interpret requirements to design and implement software solutions.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and system issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including design artifacts, sequence diagrams, and development documentation.
- Perform software testing and validation in lab and operational environments.
- Support software deployments, installations, and integration efforts.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with software engineering best practices and standards.
- Develop and maintain database functionality and data-driven applications.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and modern software development processes.
Compensation:
$70/hr-$74/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
