What We’re Looking For

As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer at CyberPoint, you will develop and sustain web-based applications that automate data management for Intelligence Community (IC) data custodians. These applications facilitate the capture of information and approvals that enable data to move through the customer mission environment in a compliant manner. Your work will help standardize and simplify data movement, data reuse, and integration with downstream mission tools.



You will join a mature Agile software development team using Java as its primary programming language. In this role, you will apply your experience to the design and development of complex software solutions while contributing to software quality, development processes, and technical standards. You will have the opportunity to further develop your Java expertise while working with technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, you will;

• Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain Java-based web applications supporting mission-critical data management capabilities.
  
• Participate in the full Agile software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, installation, integration, and maintenance.
  
• Design and implement complex algorithms while adhering to strict timing, system resource, and interface constraints.
  
• Collaborate with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and understand system limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
  
• Develop software solutions that support compliant data movement, data reuse, and integration with downstream tools.
  
• Perform quality control and technical reviews of team software products.
  
• Support software installation and integration activities and monitor system functionality to ensure operational specifications are met.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and operational issues.
  
• Contribute to improvements in software development processes, standards, and technical documentation.
  
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to software design and implementation decisions.
  
• Develop and optimize database queries and data access solutions.
  
• Collaborate with other software engineers, system engineers, and technical stakeholders to develop reliable and maintainable solutions.
  
• Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the development team as needed.
  

This position is 100% onsite and requires an active TS/SCI+FSP Security Clearance.

What You’ll Need 

• U.S. Citizenship.
  
• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with current polygraph.
  
• 20 years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four additional years of Software Engineering experience on projects utilizing similar software development processes may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex algorithms while adhering to strict timing, system resource, and interface constraints.
  
• Experience with software requirements analysis, design, development, integration, testing, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  
• Experience collaborating with system and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and understand project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
  
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
  
• Experience performing quality control on software products and contributing to software development standards and processes.
  
• Experience supporting software installation and monitoring system functionality to ensure operational requirements are met.
  

What Will Set You Apart

• Strong Java development experience.
  
• Experience with Quarkus and/or PrimeFaces.
  
• Database development or DBA experience.
  
• Strong SQL experience, including query creation and optimization.
  
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
  
• Experience with Elasticsearch, including aggregations.
  
• Experience developing web-based applications.
  
• Experience supporting data management, data integration, or data movement solutions.
  
• Experience improving software development processes, technical standards, and documentation.
