Technical Lead - Software Engineering and Data Architecture

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Software & Data Architect to provide technical leadership across some of the nation's most critical defense programs. This individual will be responsible for defining software and data architecture strategy, guiding technical teams, and driving solutions from concept through production deployment. The role requires a hands-on technical leader who can operate at both the strategic and implementation level while partnering with stakeholders across engineering, business, and customer organizations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and technical direction of complex software, data, and AI-driven solutions across multiple programs
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and mission-critical systems from proof-of-concept through production
- Serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor for software engineering, data architecture, and emerging technologies
- Collaborate with engineering teams, executives, customers, and partners to develop innovative technology solutions
- Mentor and develop engineers while promoting software development best practices and modern engineering methodologies
- Support proposal efforts, technical solutioning, and business growth initiatives
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve mission outcomes and operational effectiveness

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading software and data architecture efforts for complex enterprise or mission-critical systems
- Strong software development background with hands-on coding experience
- Experience delivering solutions from proof-of-concept through production environments
- Expertise in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, .NET/C#, Go, C++, C, or Rust
- Experience with DevSecOps, Agile development methodologies, and modern software engineering practices
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data science, machine learning, and AI technologies
- Experience leading and mentoring technical teams
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Understanding of engineering lifecycle and systems development processes

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- Experience supporting proposal development, capture efforts, and business development activities
- Track record of delivering released products or operational capabilities in software, data, or AI domains
- Experience supporting defense, aerospace, aviation, space, or national security programs
