We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of complex technical systems supporting mission-critical programs. You will work closely with software developers, infrastructure engineers, technical leads, USMC representatives, SCO stakeholders, and other customer personnel to translate mission needs into effective system requirements and solutions.

The ideal candidate has a strong systems-engineering background, understands the full system-development lifecycle, and is comfortable working across multiple technical disciplines in classified, fast-paced environments.

This position will be performed on-site in Reston, VA.
Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of complex systems and applications.
• Analyze mission, operational, and technical requirements and translate them into system-level requirements and specifications.
• Develop and maintain system architecture, interface documentation, technical requirements, and other systems-engineering artifacts.
• Develop and maintain model-based systems-engineering artifacts using SysML and related methods and tools.
• Evaluate designs against technical requirements, performance objectives, security requirements, and customer needs.
• Collaborate with software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and testing teams throughout the system-development lifecycle.
• Support integration across hardware, software, networks, applications, data flows, and external interfaces.
• Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, technical interchange meetings, demonstrations, and regular classified engagements with USMC and SCO stakeholders.
• Support verification and validation activities and maintain traceability between requirements, design artifacts, and test evidence.
• Identify system-level issues, dependencies, and risks and coordinate resolution across technical teams.
• Develop technical documentation, system diagrams, interface descriptions, procedures, and engineering reports.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
• S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field. Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of relevant systems-engineering, systems-integration, software-engineering, or related technical experience.
• Experience with requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, verification, validation, or system-lifecycle activities.
• Experience developing system requirements, interface definitions, architecture products, and technical documentation.
• Experience integrating software, hardware, infrastructure, networks, data, or other technical components.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering and software-development teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Reston, VA and participate in SCI-level customer engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of systems-engineering, systems-integration, or related engineering experience.
• Experience serving as a senior Systems Engineer, Systems Integration Engineer, or technical lead.
• Experience supporting Marine Corps, Department of Defense, or other Federal Government programs.
• Experience with systems architecture, requirements management, interface definition, verification, and validation.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and SysML.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, DOORS, or similar requirements and collaboration tools.
• Experience with Linux, cloud or virtualized infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, or CI/CD environments.
• Understanding of RMF, NIST standards, Federal cybersecurity requirements, or system-authorization processes.
• Experience supporting system test, integration, deployment, and operational transition activities.
