IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

Duties

• You will serve as an IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the DIRECTOR OF SUBMARINE PROGRAMS.
• You will be responsible for the implementation and oversight of cyber risk across the portfolio.
• You will be the primary authority for making risk-based decisions for the overall integrity of the cybersecurity authorization process for systems under Director of Submarine Programs (DSP) purview.
• You will ensure that the need for operational speed is carefully balanced with the technical rigor required to maintain a robust and defensible cybersecurity posture.
• You will represent the command risk tolerance, provide strategic direction for the Risk Management Framework process, and ensure all assessments are conducted in a standardized, compliant and effective manner.
• You will execute delegate authority to conduct in-depth technical risk assessments within their specific cybersecurity domains.

• This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code SECURITY CYBER ASSESOR, proficiency level A the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Executing and implementing risk assessment procedures within cybersecurity programs and projects to mitigate system vulnerabilities and ensure compliance for the overall integrity of cybersecurity authorization process. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
