As a member of Vistra’s Corporate Marketing and Communications team, this position supports the planning, coordination, and execution of client marketing and communications initiatives. The Account Executive will develop long-term relationships with customers, uncover their marketing challenges and develop solutions that help them to meet their goals and generate revenue.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 
  • Client coordination: Serve as a day-to-day client contact by supporting clear communication, meeting preparation, follow-up, expectation management, and next-step tracking. 
  • Strategy and planning: Help translate client goals into integrated marketing, communications, PR, digital, and content plans, including clear briefs and tasks for internal teams. 
  • Campaign execution: Coordinate campaign timelines, approvals, deliverables, and partner inputs while reviewing assets for quality, accuracy, brand alignment, and timely completion. 
  • Digital and social media: Support social and digital content plans, channel execution, analytics review, performance reporting, and practical recommendations to improve engagement and results. 
  • Content and media relations: Draft and edit messaging, digital content, social posts, press materials, thought leadership, and other client communications; support media research, monitoring, pitch development, and reporting. 
  • Performance reporting: Monitor relevant KPIs, dashboards, media performance, and engagement metrics to prepare concise summaries of results, insights, and recommended next steps. 


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 
  • Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, advertising, or a related field, plus 3–5 years of relevant experience. Agency, nonprofit, public sector, PR, or media relations experience is a plus. 
  • Writing and communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences. Working knowledge of AP Style and experience writing for digital, print, social, and media-facing formats. Bilingual (English and Spanish) proficiency is preferred, though not required. 
  • Digital marketing: Experience supporting social media content, digital campaigns, reporting, optimization, and major platforms or tools, such as analytics dashboards, Google Ads, ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact, or Mailchimp. 
  • Project and client management: Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to managing multiple tasks, deadlines, clients, stakeholders, and tools such as Asana, Basecamp, or HubSpot. Proficiency with approved AI tools to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. 
  • Collaboration and professionalism: Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams, external partners, and vendors; detail-oriented, adaptable, curious, eager to grow their professional career, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • This role is based at Vistra’s Corporate Headquarters in Lutz, Fla. 
  • Some local travel is required to support client-facing engagements.
