LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Duties

• You will serve as an Alternate Accountability Officer for SWFLANT, providing authoritative oversight, physical custody, and full lifecycle accountability for the Navy's most critical strategic and conventional assets.
• You will serve as Database Administrator for the Ordnance Inventory System-Retail (OIS-R) to report global ordnance movement, and prepares and certifies worldwide ordnance shipments in strict compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
• You will evaluate and interpret JCS, DOE, DoD, and Navy policies governing contractor and facility operations to ensure robust nuclear and conventional management compliance.
• You will direct comprehensive logistics and physical security operations for the movement, transfer, and material handling of strategic assets.
• You will develop and deliver high-level program status briefs to the SWFLANT Chain of Command and external executive organizations to align local operations with national strategic objectives.
• You will collaborate with contractor leadership to identify and resolve operational deficiencies, and submit formal, comprehensive inspection reports detailing key findings and strategic recommendations.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to qualify for inclusion into the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP).
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Manages strategic asset accountability by maintaining custody records, reconciling inventory databases, and coordinating secure asset transfers to ensure traceability, compliance, and operational readiness.

This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13.
