• Location: 1200 Redstone Gateway SW, Huntsville, AL 35808
• Duration: long term, ongoing contract – we are a direct sub to the C2BMC program
• Clearance: Secret, will hold TS if you already have it
• Program – C2BMC
"Position Responsibilities As a member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) (aka C2BMC NT), this position will help generate software design artifacts, implement Java-based software changes, support design and code reviews, and support software testing and resolution of issues arising from software testing. The candidate will be involved in presenting developed designs. Candidate will actively participate in agile planning and execution using established C2BMC processes.
Basic Qualifications Generally has 1+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline. Key Words • Full Life-Cycle Development • Java application development / alternate OO development experience (additional experience with MATLAB is a plus).• Unix/Linux • Software implementation of mathematical algorithms • Agile development • DEVSECOPS • Systems Integration• Basic experience in design and devleopment of complex mathematical algorithms• Experience with problem-solving skills, including the ability to review system behavior issues, identify root cause and recommend a solution• The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, can work independently, and be able to work in a highly dynamic environment• Candidate will need to be able to work with multiple disciplinary teams including Systems Engineering, Integration and Test, Deployment and Warfighter Support to help ensure mission success
Preferred knowledge:• Knowledge of developing software within an agile development process, decomposition of work, and active leadership during sprint planning• Experience developing software and/or algorithms in a structured, process-based integrated team environment• Knowledge of developing software within a DEVSECOPS framework for Java-based applications in a Unix/Linux platform environment• Experience with development of automated unit tests and verification of requirements• Candidate may also be involved in the implementation of MATLAB or Python based algorithms before their adoption into tactical Java-based software• Security+ certification is not required but a plus for this position.
Other Infrequent travel between Huntsville and Colorado development facilities may be required."
