"Position Responsibilities
The C2BMC Planner (PLNR) Product Team seeks a hybrid Scrum Master/Software Engineer who will report to the Product Owner, provide servant leadership, and contribute hands-on Java development. Approximately 30% of the role’s time will be dedicated to facilitating Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and guiding the team through Program Increment (PI) planning, feature decomposition, and cross-team dependency management; the remaining 70% will focus on designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining Java applications, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools for the Planner subsystem. The ideal candidate brings proven Scrum Master experience (certification preferred), 3-5+ years of Java development experience in a missile defense or high-availability systems environment, strong technical and people skills, and familiarity with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) for government financial tracking, as a plus. Success will be measured by timely delivery of sprint and PI objectives, high team engagement, rapid impediment removal, and high-quality, mission-critical software that meets performance, security, and reliability standards.

This position is for a Software Engineer on the C2BMC program. The candidate will be responsible for software development in Java for the Regional Applications/Battle Management Sensor Resource Management (BM/SRM) team in Huntsville. Under

Experience supporting software engineering on DoD programs/missile defense. Experience decomposing Agile features into user stories with clear acceptance criteria (PI and Sprint planning).Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment. Experience leading Agile teams supporting complex DoD software systems. Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)."
