This on-site contract role involves managing and optimizing Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments, ensuring their performance, security, and reliability. You will troubleshoot issues, perform patches and upgrades, optimize performance, and implement backup and recovery solutions to meet stringent federal security standards. Top Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with hands-on expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL database management
- Proficiency with AWS RDS, S3, and DMS for cloud database solutions
- Strong background in database performance tuning, security, and recovery techniques, including Oracle RMAN and Flashback
- Experience troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, and restoring databases while ensuring compliance with federal security guidelines
- Ability to support application development by assisting in creating and deploying DML and DDL scripts
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
