Job Description

Data Scientist – DoD Supply Chain
Analytics
Location: Remote initially; transitioning to a government-provided SCIF (location TBD)
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
Team: Five-person cross-functional analytics team

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Data Scientist to join a small, highly collaborative team supporting a
Department of Defense initiative focused on strengthening U.S. supply chain security.

The program is primarily focused on rare earth elements and critical mineral supply chains
across the Western Hemisphere, with the mission extending to other critical supply chains.

You'll play a key role in transforming large volumes of commercial and open-source data into
clean, reliable datasets that support network analysis, intelligence products, financial
assessments, and decision-making for DoD leaders.

This is an opportunity to take real ownership of the data environment while working alongside a
small, senior team with direct government visibility.

What You'll Do
● Build and manage scalable databases using large commercial and open-source
datasets
● Clean, structure, and validate complex and unstructured data
● Design and maintain data architecture supporting analytics and intelligence products
● Develop and maintain ETL pipelines
● Integrate data from multiple commercial and technology partners
● Work with relational and/or graph database structures
● Support network, financial, investment, and supply chain analysis
● Help develop dashboards, visualizations, and a Common Operational/Intelligence
Picture
● Translate complex analysis into clear, concise products for senior government and
executive audiences

What We're Looking For
, ● Hands-on data science or data engineering experience
● Strong Python and SQL skills
● Experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines
● Experience with relational and/or graph databases
● Demonstrated ability to clean and structure large, messy datasets
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
● Strong written communication skills, particularly for senior audiences
● Active TS/SCI clearance

Nice to Have
● Experience with Palantir, Tableau, or similar analytics/visualization platforms
● Experience working with supply chain, financial, or geospatial data
● Previous DoD, intelligence, or federal government analytics experience
● Experience supporting fast-paced, mission-critical government programs

Why Join?
This isn't a back-office data role. Your work will directly determine the quality of the
analysis the broader team delivers.

You'll help build the data foundation used to understand vulnerabilities in critical U.S. supply
chains and turn raw information into insights that DoD decision-makers can act on.

If you enjoy solving difficult data problems, taking ownership of your work, and seeing your
analysis contribute directly to a national-security mission, we'd love to speak with you.
