Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes representing an organization to integrate enterprise-level programs with external operational headquarters; AND evaluating complex organizational policies to develop strategic recommendations for senior leadership; AND leading cross-functional initiatives to align strategic objectives with external partner requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Additional information
- Integrates clinical, operational, and business functions across the enterprise to resolve complex, sensitive issues impacting the Combatant Command (CCMD).
- Leads and coordinates cross-functional efforts within the Defense Health Agency (DHA) enterprise to ensure timely, synchronized support of CCMD priorities.
- Integrates data from diverse sources to analyze trends and evaluate policies, plans, operations, legislation, and directives impacting the command's operational health readiness.
- Provides authoritative analysis and advice to the DHA Director and senior staff on complex operational, organizational, and strategic issues affecting the delivery of joint medical capabilities.
- Serves as the senior, recognized authority for representing DHA interests and requirements to the CCMD senior staff.
- Serves as the senior DHA representative to the CCMD, exercising authoritative responsibility for integrating DHA enterprise functions (clinical, business, and operational) into the CCMD operational planning and execution environment.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access. A pre-employment and recurring comprehensive background investigations are required.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
- This position is required to work uncommon tours of duty hours such as, on-call, working either fixed or rotating shifts, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- This position is subject to TDY or business travel requirements to various locations. This may require travel via privately owned vehicles, commercial transport platforms, and/or military aircraft, ships, and vehicles.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
