Job Description
The Sr. Manager, Logistics manages the movement, distribution, and storage of supplies and materials across the enterprise. This role is responsible for planning routes, analyzing budgets, overseeing shipments, and designing and evaluating logistics processes and operational solutions related to distributing goods and services. The Sr. Manager identifies and evaluates the effectiveness of distribution methods to improve operational efficiency and supports management by proposing logistics strategies and solutions. This position performs complex tasks following established processes, leads and directs the work of other employees, and holds full authority for personnel decisions. The role also administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with developing new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.

Responsibilities
- Manages the logistics movement, distribution, and storage of supplies and materials.
- Plans routes, analyzes budgets, oversees shipment processes, and ensures accuracy and timeliness of distribution activities.
- Designs and analyzes logistics processes and operational solutions for distributing goods and services.
- Identifies and evaluates the effectiveness of methods of distribution to enhance operational efficiency.
- Advises senior management on logistics topics and proposes process and system improvements.
- Performs complex tasks typically following established procedures and guidelines.
- Leads and Directs the work of employees; exercises full authority for personnel decisions including hiring, performance management, and development.
- Administers departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and effective implementation.
- Evaluates performance results and identifies improvement opportunities for logistics operations.
- Assists in the development and refinement of budgets, strategic plans, and policies related to logistics and distribution.
- Ensures a high degree of operational accuracy, service quality, and cost-effective logistics performance.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in logistics planning, distribution management, and inventory strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex logistics processes.
- Leadership experience with responsibility for personnel decisions and oversight of teams.
- Ability to manage complex tasks and provide informed recommendations to senior leadership.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid state drivers license.
- Security clearance SECRET level or higher or the ability to obtain one (Preference will be given to those with an active clearance).
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in senior-level logistics or supply chain management.
- Knowledge of advanced logistics systems, optimization tools, and analytics platforms.
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution, supply chain, or related operations.
