Job Summary
ATG is seeking a highly skilled Senior Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to support enterprise endpoint management and systems administration operations in Key West, FL. This position is on-site five days per week. The role is responsible for architecting, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), formerly System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), infrastructure across distributed and bandwidth-constrained environments. The position supports enterprise patching, software distribution, operating system deployment, endpoint compliance, reporting, automation, and advanced Tier 3 troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, configure, administer, and maintain MECM/SCCM infrastructure, including Primary Sites, Management Points, Distribution Points, and supporting components.
- Support MECM/SCCM operations across distributed and bandwidth-constrained network environments.
- Lead enterprise patch management for Microsoft operating systems and third-party applications.
- Ensure vulnerabilities are remediated in accordance with applicable cybersecurity requirements, including DISA STIGs and IAVM requirements.
- Package, test, and deploy complex applications, updates, patches, and custom PowerShell scripts across large enterprise endpoint environments.
- Engineer and maintain standard OS baseline configurations, task sequences, boot images, and driver packages.
- Support zero-touch provisioning, bare-metal imaging, operating system deployment (OSD), and in-place Windows upgrades.
- Develop advanced SQL queries, SSRS reports, and CMPivot queries to provide visibility into endpoint health, compliance metrics, deployment status, and system performance.
- Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex endpoint management and systems administration issues.
- Develop technical documentation, SOPs, configuration documentation, and operational guidance.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior system administrators and technical team members.
Qualifications
Required:
- Requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Required Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance at time of hire.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- A High School Diploma with four additional years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with two additional years, may be substituted for the required Bachelor’s degree.
- A relevant Master’s degree may provide credit for two years of required professional experience; a relevant Ph.D. may provide credit for four years.
- Nine (9) or more years of relevant Systems Administrator experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of position-specific experience administering and managing MECM and/or SCCM.
- Expertise with server hardware, enterprise systems administration, VMware and/or Hyper-V, and network infrastructure.
- Proficiency with scripting and automation technologies, including PowerShell; Bash experience is beneficial.
- Must obtain and maintain a DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II certification within three (3) months of commencing work.
- Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Desired:
- Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate certification or similar endpoint management certification.
- Experience supporting a Department of Defense Combatant Command or associated component organization.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
- Knowledge of hybrid endpoint and device management strategies integrating MECM/SCCM and cloud-based management technologies.
- Experience with enterprise vulnerability remediation and DISA STIG compliance processes.
- Advanced experience with PowerShell, SQL, SSRS, and CMPivot.
Physical and Environmental Conditions
- Work will be performed on-site in Key West, FL, five days per week.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for more than 50% of the workday.
- Must be able to communicate and exchange information effectively with peers, customers, management, and senior personnel.
- Must be able to operate computers and other standard office productivity equipment.
- Position requires frequent communication with co-workers, management, customers, and other stakeholders and may include technical presentations.
- Must occasionally move within the office environment to access file cabinets, office equipment, systems, and other resources.
