Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator III to maintain and enhance our mission-critical IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver responsible for the administration, implementation, and maintenance of operating systems, hardware, and related software. You will play a key role in ensuring system compatibility, security, and operational readiness, providing essential support to both system users and government customers.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, develop, and maintain operating systems and related software to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform comprehensive systems administration on mission-related equipment.
  • Conduct routine Linux/Windows server antivirus scans, security audit log reviews, and Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI).
  • Manage system backups, data recovery, and recommend hardware/software upgrades based on performance and capacity forecasts.
  • Uphold system security by conducting TEMPEST management reviews and ensuring all security measures are correctly documented and implemented.
  • Serve as a technical support resource for system users and act as a help desk-level Client Systems Technician.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software, operating system, and networking issues.
  • Interface directly with military personnel and government customers to ensure requirements are met.
  • Serve as Property Custodian to inventory, track, and manage all IT equipment assets. Responsible for the formal processes of receiving, tracking, and the proper disposition of lifecycle assets.
  • Any other duties and responsiblities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must possess an active Secret clearance or higher.
  • Must hold an active CompTIA Security Plus certification.
  • 3 or more years Linux/Windows administration.
  • Experience interfacing w/Military personnel and government customer.
  • Experience with outlook 365, Cisco Systems, and helpdesk related task.
  • Experience with cloud related services.
  • Must have the ability read, write, and speak English.
