Job Description

Duties

  • Review supply actions, apply knowledge of contracting types, requirements, and methods to develop supplier acquisition packages for secondary items.
  • Identify and draft documentation for requirements packages which may include management decision documents, justification and authorization for other than full and open competition, acquisition plans, and contract data requirements.
  • Coordinate with contracting center, engineering support activity, and other stakeholders to resolve delays to contract award.
  • Conduct surveillance of open contracts to ensure on-time delivery of supplies and performance of services. Maintain communication with the contracting center and vendors to facilitate proactive status updates.
  • Communicate any award or delivery delays to internal stakeholders to facilitate decisions regarding supply posture, order release strategy, and readiness. Initiates escalation actions to leadership based on established business rules.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: To qualify applicants must possess on one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-11. Specialized experience is defined as:(1) Collaborating with external agencies and customers. (2) setting appropriate acquisition strategies (contract types: LTC (Long Term Contract), OTB (One Time Buy) , LOT (Life of Type), IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity), etc.) (3) experience with procurement/acquisition of hardware or services (4) writing and staffing documents (5) tracking project schedules (6) maintaining communication and keeping relevant stakeholders informed on issues (7) maintaining data quality in information systems

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

  • This position has a Data Analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for Data Analytics level one (1) certification within 12 months of being placed on the position.
  • This requires that a personnel security investigation be adjudicated on a pre-appointment basis which may take up to 90 days or longer to process. The selectee may be allowed to start work prior to adjudication if management approved. Obtaining and maintaining a secret security clearance is a condition of employment. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
