Job Description
Peerless Technologies is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support and providing critical security support for classified research and development (R&D) programs supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Science and Technology Office (STO). The IT Specialist will provide technical support for classified and unclassified information systems, networks, security systems, telecommunications, hardware, software, and secure communications equipment.

- Support senior personnel with IT program objectives, systems, and applications.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, operating systems, and information security systems.
- Provide technical support for telecommunications and secure video teleconferencing systems.
- Diagnose and resolve computer, network, hardware, and software issues to prevent outages and minimize downtime.
- Perform configuration management, system diagnostics, repairs, and replacement of hardware components and peripherals.
- Maintain hardware/software inventories and ensure compliance with software licensing requirements.
- Support COMSEC account management, inventories, and required self-inspections.
- Support the Government Configuration Control Board (CCB) and maintain security databases.
- Enforce approved SOPs and Information Assurance SOPs and assist the Government Security Officer.
- Identify system performance issues and recommend improvements to enhance operations and customer support.
- Track IT project milestones and ensure timely resolution of user issues.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship.
- Top Secret security clearance with an adjudicated Tier 5 investigation.
- Associate's degree or 5+ years of closely related IT experience in lieu of a degree.
- Information Assurance Technical Level II certification.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Experience supporting a broad range of computer services and information security operations.
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting hardware, software, networks, and information systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and customer service skills.
