Overview
The Technical Writer Level 2 supports the eVo/CoDE PMO by preparing, organizing, and maintaining technical documentation across an AWS based, cross functional engineering team. This role works closely with developers, engineers, and subject matter experts to produce clear, structured, and high quality documentation for operations, user guidance, training materials, and analytic methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, update, and maintain operations documentation, user guides, manuals, technical publications, and other end user materials.
• Maintain an up to date internal documentation library for a cross functional AWS team using Confluence, Jira, and SharePoint.
• Write clear, grammatically sound, structured technical content using engineering drawings, SME consultations, and technical documentation inputs.
• Develop reports, responses, customer communications, presentations, and briefings for audiences ranging from technical teams to leadership.
• Partner with developers and engineers to gather technical details and convert them into readable documentation and training content.
• Assist the operational project lead with daily coordination, documentation tracking, and workflow support.
• Follow established technical writing standards, templates, and methodologies to ensure consistency and clarity across all deliverables.
Required Experience
• 6+ years of technical writing experience on programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Experience in:
o Developing and maintaining user guides, manuals, technical publications, and documentation libraries
o Writing technical copy based on engineering drawings, technical data, and SME interviews
o Organizing complex technical information into clear, comprehensible written products
o Supporting layout, design, documentation formatting, and multi phase document workflows
o Preparing reports, briefings, and structured written content for varied audiences
o Producing documentation for analytic tradecraft methodologies or similarly technical environments
• Ability to interpret engineering/machine documentation and integrate large volumes of technical information into readable formats.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience documenting AWS based systems or cloud platforms
• Familiarity with NSA DS 89 documentation standards
• Experience producing documentation for cryptologic or analytic programs
• Understanding of technical workflows in engineering or software development teams
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
• May substitute 4 years of additional Technical Writing experience for degree requirement
