This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or FJO being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment.

As a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0301-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Provides oversight of Joint Capabilities Division managed branches including: Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC), Secretariat, Joint Force Requirements Process (JFRP) Branch, Requirements Analysis Branch, Requirements Management Branch, and the International JROC Branch.
- Determines staffing and funding requirements needed to achieve organizational goals and objectives for the current and upcoming years and works with the Division Chief to meet strategic objectives.
- Assists with the teaching, coaching, and mentoring of Joint Capabilities Division (JCD) staff members.
- Ensures that workplace issues are resolved at the lowest possible level but raised to leadership for awareness as appropriate.
- Promotes a positive team culture and supports JCD teammates in achieving their full potential professionally
and personally. - Developing potential solutions spanning the range of Doctrine, Organization, Training, materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTmLPF-P) and developing documentation to support the acquisition of DoD-wide capabilities to meet warfighting needs.

- Providing expert knowledge of broad national security policies as they relate to all programs, policies, procedures, and activities related to the Joint Chief of Staff.
- Determining staffing and funding requirements needed to achieve organizational goals and objectives for the current and upcoming years.
- Designing major, unprecedented analytical studies that analyze joint warfighting functional areas to establish military tasks and required capabilities.
- Evaluating alternative strategies for solving critical military requirements for goods and services, leveraging expert knowledge of broad national security policies to advise leadership.
- Serving as an authoritative source of information regarding the capabilities of modeling and simulation tools, as well as the Knowledge Management/Decision Support (KM/DS) system.
