Job Description
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) program supporting Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Instruction and Mission Support (IMS) Maintenance Services. This position provides senior-level quality leadership to ensure maintenance operations, processes, documentation, inspections, and contract deliverables comply with applicable contractual, regulatory, technical, and company requirements.
The Quality Assurance Manager serves as a key liaison between the contractor and Government Quality Assurance personnel, supporting effective communication, contract performance, quality oversight, and resolution of quality-related matters.
The successful candidate will develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve quality policies, procedures, processes, and controls in alignment with Pinnacle Solutions policies and procedures and applicable aviation quality requirements.

The Quality Assurance Manager serves as a key liaison between the contractor and Government Quality Assurance personnel, supporting effective communication, contract performance, quality oversight, and resolution of quality-related matters.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control program for UAS Maintenance Services.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve quality policies, procedures, processes, and inspection programs.
- Serve as the primary QA liaison with Government Quality Assurance Representatives and other government stakeholders regarding quality, maintenance, inspections, and contract performance.
- Monitor maintenance operations to ensure compliance with applicable technical manuals, contractual requirements, regulatory guidance, and established maintenance procedures.
- Plan, conduct, document, and track internal quality audits, inspections, surveillance activities, and process reviews.
- Identify quality trends, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement and develop effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor corrective actions through closure and verify the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
- Maintain accurate and current QA/QC records, inspection documentation, reports, and quality metrics.
- Support government audits, inspections, assessments, and Aviation Program Team activities.
- Prepare and present quality status, performance metrics, trends, corrective actions, and program health information to company leadership and government customers.
- Ensure quality documentation and records are maintained in accordance with established document-control requirements.
- Support the development, review, and implementation of Quality Management System documentation.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to QA/QC personnel.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, safety, and quality throughout the maintenance organization.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Logistics, Operations, Training, and Program Management personnel to resolve quality issues and improve overall program performance.
- Support contract requirements, CDRLs, quality reports, and other customer deliverables as assigned.
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal leadership, government representatives, customers, subcontractors, and maintenance personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the UAS IMS Maintenance Services program.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated Quality Assurance experience supporting an aviation program of similar size and scope.
- Aviation QA/QC experience may be obtained through military, civilian, contractor, or a combination of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead quality programs and coordinate QA/QC activities in an aviation maintenance environment.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, inspection processes, documentation, and corrective action methodologies.
- Ability to analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with government customers and senior organizational leadership.
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading and coordinating a QA/QC team.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Control Manager, or Aviation QA/QC leadership experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building experience.
- Experience briefing senior internal managers and external government customers.
- Experience performing root cause analysis and developing corrective and preventive action plans.
- Familiarity with DCMA 8210 and AR 95-20 aviation maintenance requirements.
- Knowledge of AS9100/9110 Quality Management Systems.
- Six Sigma certification or demonstrated experience applying Six Sigma methodologies, such as DMAIC, process improvement, variation reduction, and data-driven problem solving.
- Experience supporting government aviation programs, audits, inspections, and quality surveillance activities.
- Experience working with Government Quality Assurance Representatives and Contracting Officer's
- Representatives.
- Experience with continuous improvement and quality performance metrics.
- Must be willing and able to work assigned shifts.
- Must be able to work effectively in an aviation maintenance environment and meet all applicable safety and operational requirements.
