Job Description

Duties

  • Analyzes production and capacity data to identify workload trends, discrepancies, and resource shortfalls.
  • Analyzes ammunition workload, determining proper planning, acquisition, and support
  • Performs duties such as monitor and report on the status and progress of work
  • Manages production and workload data to support accurate reporting and operational planning.
  • Performs duties such as develop and finalize detailed Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) and hazard analysis for an installation
  • Monitors reports for production accomplishments and scheduling issues with higher level assistance
  • Monitors production management systems to support accurate workload tracking and operational planning.
  • Reviews assets in storage to determine which items and condition codes are candidates for renovation or demilitarization program
  • Determines Ammunition Peculiar Equipment (APE) needed and available, including any requirement for modification or over haul
  • Applies production policies and regulatory requirements to ensure ammunition operations comply with established standards.
  • Performs duties such as prepare and submit solicited and unsolicited bids for workload
  • Analyzes production problems such as short falls in common delivery, maintenance operations, and shut down and other delays

  • This position is designated Tier 3, Non-Critical Sensitive, Moderate Risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment.
  • You may be expected to travel for this position.
  • The incumbent must obtain and maintain the required Hazardous Material and Ammunition training.
  • This is a Drug Testing Designated Position (TDP) under AR 600-85. Employees must sign DA Form 5019 and agree to random drug testing. New TDP employees must pass a pre-appointment drug test and may be tested periodically.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes using automated systems to track and report operational requirements; applying policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to production activities; preparing standard operating procedures based on operational requirement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
