Software Engineer (C++, Python, and JavaScript)

Razor is seeking an experienced Software Engineer (C++, Python, and JavaScript) to support the development of applications and APIs that enable users to perform advanced analytic functions. This role requires strong technical expertise in software development and enterprise application integration within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
The Software Engineer will work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain mission-critical software solutions in an Agile environment.
Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active Top Secret clearance is required.
• Must have SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph.
• An in-scope Counterintelligence Polygraph is preferred.

Location & Work Arrangement:

• Springfield, Virginia
• This position requires onsite support at the customer location.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software solutions based on stakeholder requirements, system flows, data usage, and operational processes.
• Develop applications and APIs supporting analytic capabilities and mission requirements.
• Design, code, deploy, and support enterprise-level software systems.
• Evaluate requirements and proposed solutions to determine operational and technical feasibility.
• Enhance existing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing new features.
• Develop software application tests and testing strategies to improve product development and deployed operations.
• Develop scripting solutions to automate manual processes and improve operational throughput.
• Conduct systems analysis and recommend changes to improve processes and operations.
• Develop and maintain architecture, system, and data-flow diagrams.
• Support containerized and orchestrated application environments.
• Work within Agile and DevSecOps development frameworks.
• Analyze and communicate development and service issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage development timelines both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary technical team.

Required Qualifications:

• 4-6+ years of experience designing, coding, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level systems.
• Proficiency with multiple programming languages, including C++, Python, and JavaScript.
• Experience working with brownfield applications and identifying, designing, and implementing application improvements and new functionality.
• Experience with DevSecOps frameworks and tools, including GitLab and Jira.
• Experience developing architecture/system diagrams and data-flow diagrams.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Experience with the Linux command-line interface, including scripting with Bash and Python.
• Experience working within an Agile development environment.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills with the ability to understand complex processes and anticipate outcomes.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate recommendations to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

• DoD Approved 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ or CySA+.
• 7+ years of experience designing, coding, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level systems.
• Experience with UI frameworks such as React.
• Experience with automation technologies such as Ansible.
• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Airflow, Django, Elasticsearch, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with computer vision, computer graphics, and homography.
• Experience with Geographic Information System (GIS) data.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense organizations or programs.
