Software Engineer

Razor is seeking an innovative and experienced Software Engineer to support the execution of projects involving Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), Big Data, and Cloud solutions. This role requires strong technical capabilities in software development and enterprise application integration within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
The Software Engineer will work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions in an Agile environment while identifying opportunities to improve existing applications, automate processes, and solve complex operational challenges.
Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related IT field, or equivalent experience.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active Top Secret clearance is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI eligibility and a CI Polygraph.

Location & Work Arrangement:

• Fairfax, Virginia and/or Springfield, Virginia
• Hybrid work arrangement requiring a minimum of 3 business days onsite per week.
• Onsite requirements may vary based on program needs.
• Ability to travel less than 10%, primarily to CONUS locations.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software solutions by analyzing stakeholder requirements, system flows, data usage, and business processes.
• Evaluate technical requirements and proposed solutions to determine operational feasibility.
• Design, code, deploy, and support enterprise-level systems.
• Develop and maintain software within AI/ML, Big Data, and cloud-based environments.
• Develop software application tests and testing strategies to improve product development and deployed operations.
• Develop scripting solutions to automate manual processes and improve operational throughput.
• Analyze existing applications to identify opportunities for improvement and design and implement new features.
• Develop architecture, system, and data-flow diagrams.
• Support containerized and orchestrated application environments.
• Perform development and scripting within Linux environments.
• Collaborate within an Agile development environment to refine work, manage tasks, and meet project timelines.
• Analyze development and service issues and communicate recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Conduct systems analysis and recommend changes to improve processes and operations.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of experience designing, coding, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level systems.
• Proficiency with multiple programming languages such as Python, C++, and JavaScript.
• Experience working with brownfield applications, identifying opportunities for improvement, and designing and implementing new functionality.
• Experience with DevSecOps frameworks and tools, including GitLab and Jira.
• Experience developing architecture/system diagrams and data-flow diagrams.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Experience with the Linux command-line interface and scripting.
• Experience working within an Agile development environment.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills with the ability to understand complex processes and anticipate outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make technical recommendations to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Ability to quickly learn and leverage new technologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced technical environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• DoD Approved 8570 IAT Level I certification, such as Security+.
• Experience with UI frameworks such as React.
• Experience with automation technologies such as Ansible.
• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Airflow, Django, Elasticsearch, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with computer vision, computer graphics, and homography.
• Experience working with Geographic Information System (GIS) data.
• Experience with CUDA programming.
• Experience with Machine Learning algorithms.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense organizations or programs.
