Job Description

Five Rivers Analytics (FRA), an Akima company, is looking for a Cyber Forensic Analyst IV to work in Colorado Springs, CO. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

The Cyber Forensic Analyst IV will develop and maintain cyber training courseware for Mission Delta 31 (MD 31)'s Cyberspace Support Unit, building qualification training materials for Cyber Defensive Operator (CDO), Incident Responder (IR), and Cyber Crew Lead (CCL) positions. This individual will hold and maintain mandatory DoD 8140 and GIAC forensic certifications for the duration of the contract, supporting the unit's cyber defense training pipeline.

Responsibilities

Cyber Courseware Development
  • Review, revise, and create Cyber courseware and evaluation instruments for Cyber Defensive Operator (CDO), Incident Responder (IR), and Cyber Crew Lead (CCL) position qualification training.
  • Coordinate course scheduling with the MD 6 Formal Training Flight upon Mission Planning Cell and Unit Training Manager approval.
  • Track and process certification training waivers as needed.

Certification & Currency Management
  • Maintain two mandatory DoD 8140 Advanced-level certifications from the Cyber Enablers, Cyber Security, or Cyber Effects categories.
  • Maintain a mandatory GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA/FOR508) or GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA/FOR572) certification for the duration of the contract with zero lapses in currency.
  • Support quality control and modernization of cyber training materials in coordination with Training Development leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 8-10 years of cybersecurity, digital forensics, or cyber training development experience.
  • Currently hold, or be immediately eligible to hold, two DoD 8140 Advanced-level certifications (Cyber Enablers, Cyber Security, or Cyber Effects) - one of which must be GCFA/FOR508 or GNFA/FOR572.
  • Strong technical writing skills for translating cyber defense procedures into qualification training materials.
  • Active Top Secret clearance required; SCI eligibility preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing training for Defensive Cyberspace Operations for Space (DCO-S) or similar DoD cyber defense programs.
  • Prior experience as a Cyber Defensive Operator, Incident Responder, or Cyber Crew Lead.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Space Force or Combat Forces Command cyber training programs.
