Description
MELE is looking for a skilled Senior TSCM Technician with experience supporting technical security programs and directives, to join the team to support a critical TSCM mission. The selected candidate will have a comprehensive background in security principles in adherence with government procedures and will be certified in TSCM.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Senior TSCM Security Technician will apply foundational knowledge of Technical Counterintelligence Missions to inspect for technical penetrations, hazards, and physical security weaknesses that could result in the unauthorized access to classified or sensitive materials. The selected candidate should have experience providing input on issues concerning physical security and information security policy creation, implementation, and practical applications, as well as reporting anomalies and hazards posing threat to the mission. The Senior TSCM Technician will also provide program oversight and assist in the research and identification of new and existing equipment and technologies. The successful candidate should also be comfortable providing input to corporate management concerning budgets, travel scheduling, and equipment needs. Essential duties may include:

SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. The salary range for this position is $170k to $185K.

The successful candidate should also be comfortable providing input to corporate management concerning budgets, travel scheduling, and equipment needs. Essential duties may include:
- Operates and maintains sensitive measurement and survey equipment.
- Plans and executes Technical Security evaluations and services IAW DOE Order 470.6, SPB Procedural Guides 1, 2, & 3, and DOE/NNSA policy within prescribed time-frames.
- Prepares thorough, clear, classified written reports comprehensively detailing evaluation procedures and technical findings.
- Responds to Technical Security discoveries IAW national, DOE and NNSA policies. Provides Technical Threat Briefings, analytical reports and products to senior level officials.
- Conducts technical surveillance and countermeasures inspections to ensure clandestine devices have not been introduced into sensitive areas of a facility.
- Formulates scopes of work for each inspection in conjunction with current threat information or other special intelligence information.
- Recommends new detection equipment to enhance the inspection processes.
- Coordinates findings with cognizant security representatives and authorities when necessary.
- Ensures that adequate countermeasures have been established for continually protecting sensitive and proprietary information activities.
- Makes recommendations to improve effectiveness of inspections.
- Ensure OPSEC is observed in relationship to inspections.
- Conducts in-depth security analysis and formulates and recommends technical solutions based on the analysis.
- Prepares written reports detailing findings and recommendations from inspections.
- Provides TSCM support to national laboratories on an as needed basis, as part of the travel team.
- All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Active TS/SCI government security clearance or a DOE Q security clearance.
- Certification through the Interagency Training Center in the TSCM Fundamentals Course.
- Five (5) ore more years of experience performing TSCM services.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Ten (10)+ years of related experience, preferably with the DoD.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, and Sec+
