AMO is looking for a Project Control Analyst IV who can work hybrid and travel to offices in Summerville and Charleston SC a couple times a week. Provides Project Controls Support to the project manager for multiple mid-size projects. This position requires the ability to support CPFF contract types as well as FFP, LH and LOE contracts. Responsibilities
- Assists Project Managers and operation leads in all duties related to financial and performance, planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Initiates, monitors and maintains proper project setup in Deltek Costpoint via completion and submission of a project setup form (PSF). Form includes: project number structure, funding setup, revenue and billing formula setup, project ceilings, labor categories, billing rates, rate sequence, project workforce, etc.
- Budgeting and financial analysis:
- Develops project cost/schedule baselines and budgets.
- Monitors project actuals and resolves issues.
- Monitors outstanding project commitments (e.g., travel, subcontracts).
- Develops monthly project financial forecasts/EACs and conducts variance analysis.
- Monitors the project's burn rate against funding remaining.
- Initiates and routes at risk forms for projects that are required to perform at risk.
- Analyzes project reports to identify and resolve issues.
- Performs monthly unbilled analysis.
- Communicates project status and findings to Project and Operations Management monthly at a minimum
- Consistently meets all required deadlines (project setup updates, accruals, revenue adjustments, at risk approvals).
- Documents project status each month on SharePoint to support Corporate month-end close reviews.
- Proactively monitors project time cards, ensure timecard errors are identified and corrections are processed in timely manner.
- Ensure accuracy of project-related expense reports and ensure timely processing
- Project A/R and A/P:
- Ensures subcontract/vendor payments are processed and coded correctly and in timely fashion.
- Tracks PO commitments and initiates purchase requisitions to update funding as necessary.
- Provides customer specific invoice backup.
- Reviews and approves draft invoices prior to submission to customer.
- Monitors billing and payment status of customer invoices.
- Performs monthly accrual calculations.
- Assists PM with invoice collections
- Assist project team with:
- Work authorizations.
- Identifies and analyzes project risk.
- Development and execution of internal and external project reviews.
- Initiates Purchase Requisitions and goods receipts in Deltek Costpoint's Procurement module.
- Generates and analyzes financial reports.
- Communicates timecard and expense practices for the project.
- Funds notifications to the customer (i.e. 75% letters).
- Contract closeouts.
- Contracts/Pricing:
- Reviews and analyzes contract, subcontracts, and agreements to ensure project meets financial and reporting requirements.
- Assists with pricing and historical data collection.
Qualifications
- 8-10 Years Experience in related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business required.
- MS Excel Proficiency (VLOOKUP / SUMIF formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
- Experience working with Federal Government contract types (Cost Plus, T&M, FFP, etc).
- Must have solid understanding of EACs, ETCs, unbilled analysis, and core project financial concepts.
- Ability to work independently, self-motivated, proactive.
- Track record of delivering well-organized and accurate work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work well with accounting, contracts, and project personnel to accomplish tasks.
- This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Summerville, SC

- Deltek Costpoint Project Module Proficiency.
- Cognos experience preferred.
- Deltek Time and Expense.
- Experience using and configuring MS SharePoint team sites.
- Secret clearance preferred.
- Master's degree preferred.
