Job Description
The Drafter will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of 3D models and 2D technical drawings in support of the integration of C6ISR/EW components and systems on the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV). This role involves building and maintaining system-level models, assisting the customer in the development of engineering analysis, and advising on configuration management and BOM/kit structure. This effort supports the Systems and Software Engineering and Acquisition Management Support for the Vehicular Technology Transition Integrated Products Team (IPT), ACV Project.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain system-level 3D models of ACV components and systems.
- Assist in the development of inputs/products to support Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR).
- Create and maintain 2D technical drawings from 3D models, adhering to relevant standards.
- Assist the customer in the development of engineering analysis by providing accurate drawings and detailed models.
- Advise the customer on configuration management best practices for CAD data and documentation.
- Advise the customer on the structure of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and kits for efficient manufacturing and integration.
- Assist in the development of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to implement design improvements.
- Maintain CAD-based bills of material for entire vehicle systems with numerous complex variants.
Qualifications
- An Interim Secret Clearance is required prior to starting. An active DoD Secret clearance is preferred
- An Associate's degree in drafting or illustration, or a high school diploma/GED.
- 2+ years with degree or 5+ years with HS/GED of experience drafting/illustrating in the electronics field.
- Extensive experience /expertise and heavy user of AutoCAD.
- Proven experience in drafting, design, and/or production support
- Mechanical design experience in support of ground-based tactical vehicle systems or shipboard applications
- Proficiency in creating 3D models and 2D drawings of singular components to complex multi-part assemblies
- Familiarity with the creation of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and associated standards such as MIL-STD-31000 and ASME Y14.100.
- Knowledge of configuration management practices, including developing engineering change notices, modifying, and/or updating engineering Bills of Materials, and creating problem reports.
- Experience maintaining CAD-based bills of material for entire vehicle systems with numerous complex variants.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience/expertise with SolidWorks.
- Experience/expertise with CREO.
- Proficiency in Windchill utilizing PDMLink for data management.
