Job Description
Kaizen Approach is currently seeking a Network Engineer to provide assistance across all aspects of network management, from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrades of existing networks. In this role, you will analyze network designs, specifications, and related documentation and implement communication system requirements that support the distributed functionality of a software engineering environment. This position involves analyzing network characteristics such as traffic connection time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput, troubleshooting network issues, and recommending procurement of or modifications to network components. You will support reliable mission operations by ensuring network performance, scalability, and effective integration of network solutions.
Requirements:
Must have the ability to design network solutions and integrate, configure, deploy, test, and provide operational support for numerous types of network devices, interfaces, and networking methodologies.
Must possess the ability to optimize end-to-end system performance and manage dataflow by configuring and optimizing network connectivity between front-end and back-end system components.
Must be capable of coordinating with systems engineering and dataflow efforts to ensure proper mission operations with minimal network downtime while supporting large-scale, dynamic requirements.
Must have the ability to facilitate the implementation of high-speed, scalable, and fault-tolerant network topologies applicable to both wide area network and local area network environments.
Must possess the ability to implement network solutions supporting server requirements, including load balancing, virtual private networks, firewall contexts, and network address translation where appropriate.
Must be capable of minimizing network latency and maximizing data throughput through network design analysis and the use of network performance monitoring tools.
Must have the ability to lead large-scale networking efforts, work with system engineers and cross-organizational teams to define requirements, and resolve complex network problems using network analyzers, WAN test equipment, and network simulators.
Must have twelve (12) years of experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, including five (5) years of experience with network tools (WhatsUp Gold and NetFlow) and five (5) years of experience with SIGINT tools (Common View/Max View, Triton, and TUMMS).
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university, OR sixteen (16) years of network engineering experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
Salary Range:
A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
