This position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional with expertise in GPS cryptography and modernization efforts for military applications. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement cryptographic solutions for GPS systems used in military operations
- Analyze and assess vulnerabilities in existing GPS cryptographic systems and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryptographic modules into new and existing GPS platforms
- Conduct research and stay current with emerging technologies in GPS cryptography and signal processing
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for GPS cryptographic systems in field operations
- Develop and maintain documentation for cryptographic systems and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security protocols and standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in GPS systems, cryptography, or related fields
- Extensive knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and implementations
- Experience with GPS signal processing, including signal acquisition, tracking, and demodulation
- Familiarity with military GPS systems and their operational requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific military GPS programs or systems
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, DoD)
- Experience with software development in C/C++ or similar languages
- Background in signal processing or communications systems
