Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Training, Exercise & Operations Analyst to work as operations manager providing operational leadership, analytical expertise, and subject matter expertise in the planning, design, integration, and execution of complex military training, testing, experimentation, and simulation events.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive operational experience in any service Aviation Command and Control (C2), warfare planning, exercise direction, scenario development, tactical training, mission planning, and operational systems integration. This position will serve as a senior operational advisor responsible for translating mission requirements into executable training and exercise solutions, developing realistic operational scenarios, supporting simulation requirements, and coordinating exercise integration and execution.
The successful candidate will work closely with military operators, exercise planners, engineers, simulation personnel, government stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure training and experimentation activities accurately represent operational requirements and deliver measurable mission outcomes.

The successful candidate will work closely with military operators, exercise planners, engineers, simulation personnel, government stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure training and experimentation activities accurately represent operational requirements and deliver measurable mission outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Define, analyze, and document operational training requirements in support of military training, testing, experimentation, and exercise objectives.
- Provide senior-level operational, analytical, and planning expertise throughout the full exercise lifecycle, from initial requirements development and planning through integration, execution, assessment, and lessons learned.
- Lead and support the development of large-scale operational scenarios, ensuring scenario design reflects realistic mission objectives, operational processes, command relationships, and employment of military forces.
- Provide in-house subject matter expertise for scenario design, construction, refinement, validation, and execution.
- Support the definition and refinement of requirements for virtual and constructive simulations, scenario-generation tools, mission-planning systems, operational support systems, data-link capabilities, data-support tools, and collaboration environments.
- Translate operational user requirements into actionable simulation, system, data, and integration requirements.
- Support exercise design and development for constructive simulations, including development of operational concepts, scenario inputs, exercise objectives, injects, and supporting data.
- Provide operational expertise in Command and Control (C2), Marine Aviation, tactical data links, mission planning, Air Tasking Order (ATO) processes, and distributed operational environments.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive military, defense, government, training, exercise, operations, or simulation experience, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Significant experience in military operations, operational planning, training, exercise design, or Command and Control (C2).
- Demonstrated experience directing or supporting large-scale military exercises and training events.
- Proven experience developing and executing operational scenarios for complex military environments.
- Experience serving as an exercise director, warfare planner, operations manager, senior operational advisor, or military subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to translate operational requirements into training, simulation, system, and data requirements.
- Experience working across operational and technical organizations to integrate systems, simulations, data, and personnel into executable training events.
- Strong understanding of military C2 processes, mission planning, operational systems, and tactical operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure, time-sensitive operational environments.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, briefing, and technical-writing skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with senior military, government, industry, and technical stakeholders.
- SECRET Security Clearance.
