REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Mechanical Maintenance
- Oversee and implement maintenance on chillers, dry-coolers, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, CRAC units, BCUs, supply fans, exhaust fans, and unit heaters.
- Manage scheduling and prioritization of facility engineering tasks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Plumbing Maintenance
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of plumbing systems including domestic water, water heaters, water softeners, pumps, PRVs, backflow preventers, and drinking fountains.
- Supervise plumbing-related tasks and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
On-Call Duties
- Be available 24/7 to lead emergency operational support (mechanical, plumbing, and electrical emergencies, including Radomes), ensuring swift response and resolution.
- Coordinate emergency response teams and manage crisis situations effectively.
Vendor Coordination
- Collaborate with Civil Engineering teams and external vendors to design and lead facility projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships to optimize resource allocation and project outcomes
Project Engineering
- Engineer replacement projects for end-of-life equipment, seek out potential upgrades, and assist with the installation of cooling systems for new rack installations.
- Lead the design and quality control of new or upgraded projects, ensuring alignment with facility needs and standards.
Snow and Ice Removal
- Ensure performance of snow and ice removal duties around the facility to ensure safe and accessible pathways.
- Oversee snow and ice removal operations, coordinating staff and resources during inclement weather.
Facility Health Monitoring
- Supervise daily tracking of the facility's health to preemptively address any issues.
- Develop and implement monitoring protocols to optimize facility performance.
Cross Utilization/Additional Duties
- Support SST Team: Mentor & assist SST team members with daily tasks as needed.
- IT Support: Aid IT operations by pulling wires and escorting personnel.
- Facility Management Support: Provide backup support to the facility manager, ensuring seamless operation during absences or vacations.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Managerial Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the mechanical and plumbing teams.
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring efficient use of resources and personnel.
- Evaluate team performance and provide training and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with leadership to set goals, manage budgets, and improve operational processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Extensive experience in mechanical and plumbing maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to emergencies.
- Proficiency in coordinating with vendors and managing projects.
- Technical expertise in emergency power systems and facility health monitoring.
- Proven leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to supervise teams and coordinate operations.
- Flexibility to support cross-functional teams and handle additional duties.
