Job Description

ALS is looking for a Logistics Specialist to work in Huntsville, AL, supporting Spares & Equipment Consolidation efforts for the THAAD KSA program. The candidate will support the receipt, inventory, accountability, packaging, handling, storage, transportation, and shipment of Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) parts and equipment in support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The candidate will work as part of a logistics support team under established program direction and assist with logistics activities supporting THAAD KSA requirements. Responsibilities

  • Provides support for any logistical analysis involving THAAD-specific parts.
  • Performs Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation (PHS&T) in support of KSA operations.
  • Provides and manages data inputs and records resulting actions within the Repair Center (RC) database.
  • Reconciles inventory discrepancies across storage warehouses through monthly inventories, ensuring 100% accountability of stock items.
  • Inventories and prepares THAAD-specific parts for shipment as individual kits.
  • Verifies all parts are correctly packaged and marked for shipment from CONUS to KSA, including hazardous materials (HAZMAT).
  • Coordinates with freight forwarders for the transportation and monitoring of all parts and equipment.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance.
  • U.S. Passport and ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required.
  • Relevant logistics, supply, warehouse, inventory, or material-management experience.
  • Experience with receiving, inspection, inventory accountability, packaging, shipping, and transportation.
  • Ability to verify serial numbers, part numbers, quantities, condition, and supporting documentation.
  • Experience maintaining logistics records, inventory data, spreadsheets, and tracking tools.
  • Ability to conduct cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with internal program personnel, customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work overtime or nonstandard shifts when mission requirements dictate.
  • Ability to obtain required forklift/material-handling and hazardous-material certifications when required.

  • RepairData experience.
  • SAP or comparable logistics management system experience.
  • Saudi MAXIMO experience.
  • Government property/GFE accountability experience.
  • ASL, PLL, and TASL experience.
  • DD Form 1149 and DD Form 1348-1 experience.
  • Repair and Return experience.
  • International shipping and transportation experience.
  • ITAR/export-control familiarity.
  • Existing HazMat/IATA/DOT certifications.
  • U.S. Army logistics or supply-system experience.
