Position Title: Senior / Advanced Agile Project Manager
Allocation Type: Proposed Key Personnel / Pre-Award Bid Proposal
Location: Remote (With travel to Central Florida contingent upon project requirements)
Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 base salary per annum (Position placement and definitive salary offer are strictly contingent upon successful contract award to the bidding organization)
Core Framework Focus: Scaled Agile (SAFe), Scrum, Kanban, and Hybrid Delivery
Position Purpose
The Advanced Certified Agile Project Manager will spearhead the end-to-end delivery of high-complexity initiatives proposed within this bid. Serving as the primary driver of agile governance, this individual will align cross-functional product teams, optimize delivery velocity, and manage stakeholder relationships. They will ensure the proposed solution is delivered on time, within scope, and tailored dynamically to changing business requirements using advanced, lean-agile frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
• Agile Governance & Framework Enforcement: Establish, maintain, and optimize agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) across multiple cross-functional teams.
• Jira Management: Manage and optimize Jira workflows and dashboards for cross-functional product delivery.
• Release Train & Scale Coordination: Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning sessions and synchronize value streams if scaling frameworks are utilized.
• Scope & Backlog Management: Collaborate closely with Product Owners and client stakeholders to continuously groom, prioritize, and baseline the product backlog, ensuring the solution matches bid-stipulated objectives.
• Delivery & Velocity Metrics: Monitor and publish iterative progress through advanced metrics (e.g., Velocity charts, Burnup/Burndown tracking, Cumulative Flow diagrams) to ensure predictable delivery timelines.
• Impediment Removal & Shielding: Proactively identify, track, and resolve programmatic blockers and cross-team dependencies, shielding delivery teams from external disruptions.
• Stakeholder Management & Reporting: Serve as the strategic agile liaison between the delivery team and executive leadership, translating agile metrics into transparent, business-facing progress reports.
• Contract Bidding Requirement: Serve as the Advance Agile Project Manager during the bidding process and serve as needed in any meetings, oral presentation and/or written requirements in the process.
Work Environment & Strategic Travel Expectations
• Remote Engagement: Operates in a virtual capacity, utilizing enterprise-grade communication infrastructures to drive distributed team alignment and seamless operational delivery.
• On-Site Mobility: Periodic travel to Central Florida is required. On-site deployment will be determined dynamically, contingent upon critical project milestones, strategic stakeholder alignment, or phase-gate governance events to ensure optimal delivery outcomes.

Required Qualifications & Certifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred).
• Certifications Preferred (At least one Agile advanced certification required):
o Project Management Institute - Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
o SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE)/SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
o Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agilist, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM),
o PMI Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM)
o Project Management Professional (PMP) with verified Agile/Hybrid experience
o Certified Scrummaster (CSM) / Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM)
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of dedicated agile project management experience (last 3 must be current), with at least 5 years operating in an advanced or senior capacity leading complex, multi-team agile environments.
• Hands-on JIRA experience to include issue management, agile board usage, workflow familiarity, search & filters, dashboards & reporting, permissions & roles, and integrations.
• Experienced in using metrics to correct poor performance
Core Competencies & Skills
• Adaptive Leadership: Proven ability to transition fluidly between Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery methods based on project constraints.
• Tool Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of enterprise-level agile management suites (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Miro).
• Conflict Resolution & Coaching: Strong emotional intelligence with a track record of coaching traditional teams into high-performing, self-organizing agile units.
• Risk & Financial Literacy: Ability to manage agile budgets, forecast resource capacity, and mitigate delivery risks under fixed-capacity or variable-scope contract limits.
