This position requires a candidate with extensive experience in GPS cryptography and modernization efforts for military applications. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cryptographic systems, GPS signal processing, and the ability to contribute to the development and implementation of advanced security measures for GPS systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement cryptographic solutions for GPS systems to ensure secure and reliable navigation and timing data.
- Participate in the modernization of existing GPS infrastructure to enhance security, accuracy, and resilience against cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryptographic modules into GPS receivers and satellites.
- Conduct research and analysis to stay abreast of emerging threats and technological advancements in GPS cryptography.
- Provide technical expertise and support for testing, validation, and certification of cryptographic components.
- Prepare detailed documentation and reports on project progress, findings, and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Security, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in GPS cryptography, cryptographic systems, or related fields.
- In-depth knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and standards relevant to GPS systems.
- Experience with GPS signal processing, satellite navigation systems, and cryptographic hardware.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with military GPS systems and programs.
- Knowledge of cryptographic hardware and firmware development.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools.
