Job Description

Duties

  • Administer brigade acquisition packages using the Acquisition Requirements Tracker System (ARTS) to ensure timely, compliant procurement of supplies, services, and training requirements.
  • Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policy guidance for brigade acquisition programs to standardize procurement processes and ensure alignment with federal contracting standards.
  • Guide customer organizations through pre-solicitation planning and contract administration to maximize procurement efficiency.
  • Instruct military and civilian personnel on emerging acquisition instructions and policy letters to ensure organizational compliance with evolving statutory procurement standards.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by:

1. Developing comprehensive acquisition packages using an Acquisition Requirements Tracker System (ARTS) to ensure full compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations;

2.Formulating pre-procurement acquisition strategies to support brigade operational readiness;

3. Delivering technical guidance to command staff, functional program managers, and stakeholders to resolve complex contract requirement challenges.

OR

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: a degree in business acquisitions, marketing, or finance.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
