Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience is defined as: 1) Creating Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs) to fill critical acquisition vacancies that align with mission priorities; 2) Developing Position Requirement Documents (PRDs) to ensure organizational structure aligns with strategic defense priorities; 3) Ensuring regulatory compliance with federal hiring guidelines; and 4) Administering programs such as incentive and personnel recognition actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).

- Serve as a Human Resources Specialist for JPEO-CBRND with responsibility for technical and operational aspects of the enterprise Human Resources Management Plans, Programs, and Policies.
- Analyze human resources data to uncover workforce trends and potential areas of concern/strength.
- Provide expert staff advisory services to HQ leadership and staff, and subordinate organization leadership and staff on Human Resource Management function areas.
- Advise senior leadership, management officials, and Human Resources leadership on human capital strategic issues, project status, and recommends policies and practices.

- This is a DoD Demonstration Project position. Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers. Under the streamlined personnel operations for demonstration projects, the familiar 15 General Schedule grade structure is replaced with broad pay bands that typically encompass a range of grades. For example, acquisition jobs in level NH-III of broad banding encompass the traditional GS-12 through GS-13 grades. Other initiatives under the demonstration projects include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process, and expanded developmental opportunities.
