Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes formulating comprehensive threat mitigation programs to ensure continuous enterprise operations; AND managing organization-wide physical security protocols to safeguard critical institutional assets; AND directing multidisciplinary security teams to execute strategic performance objectives; AND advising executive leadership to recommend global risk frameworks. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Additional information
- Serve as the agency Mission Assurance (MA) Program Manager and senior security authority responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing MA activities required to meet Mission Assurance responsibilities.
- Lead execution of the Mission Assurance construct to identify, assess, manage, and monitor security-related risks to missions, systems, and assets supporting statutory and strategic requirements.
- Develop, manage, and evaluate Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection policies, plans, and operational programs to protect Agency personnel, facilities, and resources from criminal, dissident, and terrorist threats.
- Advise senior leadership on emerging security technologies, threat trends, and advanced protection techniques.
- Provide guidance to the designated Senior Executive Service, General Officer, or Flag Officer serving as the Principal Mission Assurance lead on applying and aligning Mission Assurance structures, activities, and principles throughout the Agency.
- Ensure Mission Assurance related intelligence requirements are incorporated into Agency plans.
- Supervise security and support personnel and contractors.
- Identifies training needs and ensures employees receive required development.
- Resolves grievances and maintains effective communication.

- This position is subject to TDY or business travel requirements to various locations. This may require travel via privately owned vehicles, commercial transport platforms, and/or military aircraft, ships, and vehicles.
- This position is designated Tier 5, Special Sensitive, High Risk and the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance Level with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access as a condition of employment.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
