Description:
This position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional with expertise in GPS cryptography and military modernization programs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cryptographic systems, GPS signal processing, and the ability to contribute to the development and implementation of advanced security measures for critical navigation and timing infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement cryptographic solutions for GPS systems to ensure secure and reliable navigation and timing data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryptographic technologies into existing and new GPS infrastructure.
- Conduct thorough analysis and testing of cryptographic algorithms and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring the highest levels of security and performance in all cryptographic implementations.
- Stay current with emerging threats and vulnerabilities in the GPS domain and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Security, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in GPS cryptography, with a strong focus on military modernization programs.
- Proven expertise in cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and their implementation in GPS systems.
- Experience with GPS signal processing, navigation systems, and timing infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of security principles, including encryption, authentication, and integrity mechanisms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams across different disciplines.
- Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
Preferred Qualifications:
