Job Description
Position: Secret Cybersecurity Validator
Location: ONSITE at JBSA-Randolph in San Antonio, TX
Duration: 6-month contract-to-permanent
Must Haves:
Active Secret Security Clearance
Bachelors degree in computer science or related
Active IAM Level II or IAM Level III certification (CISSP, CISM, CASP, or CAP, SecurityX, etc.)
1-2 years of experience in information systems security/cybersecurity
Knowledge of the full lifecycle and key steps of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Experience with STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides)
Experience with eMASS
Day-to-Day:
As a Cybersecurity Validator, you will play a key role in supporting the design, certification, and accreditation of both new and existing information systems in alignment with the Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity standards. Your expertise in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) will be critical in enabling the rapid deployment of secure networks across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities:
Implement and manage the full lifecycle of RMF for information systems
Develop, review, and validate security authorization packages
Maintain and update system security data within the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
Evaluate system documentation to ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and standards
Deliver clear and concise briefings and reports to stakeholders, both written and verbal
Provide expert-level guidance on Information Assurance (IA) and security control requirements
