Job Summary
Horizon Global Partners (HgP) is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to support the Department of Energy (DOE), Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office (NRLFO) Mission Support Division. The ServiceNow Developer will design, develop, configure, document, and support ServiceNow applications and workflows that improve business and technical processes.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow workflow applications supporting business and technical workflows.
• Configure ServiceNow applications, forms, workflows, and related functionality based on stakeholder requirements.
• Provide operational support for deployed ServiceNow applications and modules.
• Ensure ServiceNow modules and development activities are accurately documented.
• Maintain logs of developed and deployed modules for audit and tracking purposes.
• Ensure development activities comply with federal IT standards, DOE/NNSA requirements, and site-specific requirements.
• Track ServiceNow development tasks, projects, priorities, and completion dates.
• Communicate with Mission Support Division personnel to understand requirements and ensure successful completion of assigned projects.
• Provide bi-weekly status briefings to management on ServiceNow development projects and initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and document ServiceNow development policies, processes, and procedures.
• Support mission-driven initiatives requiring automation and workflow enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and effectiveness and provide recommendations to management.
• Coordinate project-oriented ServiceNow development requests in alignment with DOE/NNSA and Naval Reactors IT guidance.
• Maintain awareness of applicable cybersecurity, physical security, safety, and information security policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of directly relevant ServiceNow development/administration experience.
• Demonstrated experience configuring, scripting, developing, and deploying ServiceNow solutions.
• Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, workflows, Service Catalog, and/or custom applications.
• Understanding of federal IT compliance requirements, including DOE/NNSA, FISMA/NIST, change control, configuration management, auditability, and secure development practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple development tasks and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively with government, contractor, technical, and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting DOE, NNSA, Naval Reactors, or other federal government IT environments.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems operating under federal compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with secure software development lifecycle practices.
• Experience developing IT procedures, SOPs, and compliance documentation.
• Strong process improvement and workflow automation experience.
Security Clearance
DOE L Clearance is required. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain the required DOE facility access. DoD clearance reciprocity may be used while DOE clearance adjudication is evaluated.
