Senior Information Systems Security Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, network security, and system hardening. This role requires a detailed understanding of security protocols, threat detection, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions to protect organizational data and systems
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into systems and applications
• Respond to security incidents and perform forensic analysis as needed
• Provide training and guidance to staff on security awareness and best practices
• Stay current with emerging security threats and trends

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security or related field
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and encryption technologies
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Clear communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, etc.)
• Experience with secure software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Clearance Requirement:

This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
