Senior Information Systems Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. This role is critical to our organization's mission, requiring deep expertise in information security, system architecture, and risk management.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure information systems and networks
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures
• Manage security incidents and respond to threats
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior security professionals
• Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master's preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification
• Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and COBIT
• Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, and cloud environments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with government contracts or classified environments
• Knowledge of secure software development practices
• Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies

Clearance Requirements:
We require an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph for this position. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain this clearance.
