Senior Information Systems Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. This role is critical to our organization's mission, requiring deep expertise in information security, risk management, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure information systems and networks
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures
• Manage security incidents and respond to threats
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Mentor and guide junior security professionals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into all phases of system development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master's preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification
• Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls)
• Strong understanding of networking and operating systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
• Experience in government or defense sector
